The Shreveport Times December 10, 2005 Mr. Charles Gouthiere, Jr. Centuries MP, Shreveport, LA STONEWALL, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Charles Gouthiere, Jr., 67, will be held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, Monday, December 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Reverend Ed Fenton and Reverend Wayne Fussell. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, December 11, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Gouthiere was born May 6, 1938 in Shreveport to Charles and Georgette Cornell Gouthiere. Mr. Gouthiere, Jr., 67, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2005. Mr. Gouthiere taught at Judson Elementary and Barret Elementary, and principal of Alexander Elementary, Hamilton Terrace and Blanchard Elementary. At present, Mr. Gouthiere was a part-time employee at Harrah's. Mr. Gouthiere served in the USMCR from 1960 to 1966. He was a graduate of Northwestern State University. He loved to play golf, bowling, shooting, music and his family. Mr. Gouthiere was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert (Bobby) Gouthiere. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Linda Taylor Gouthiere, children-Charles Gouthiere III, Amy Lynn Gouthiere Gunn and Brian Gunn, grandchildren-Justin Gouthiere, Kourtney Gouthiere, Logan Gouthiere, Evan Kelleher and Tristian Gunn. Pallbearers will be Robert Hall Jr., Robert Gouthiere Jr., Steve Gouthiere, Joe Gouthiere, Don Richardson, John Skinner, Jim Sanders and Brian Gunn. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hall Family and all of his Grandchildren. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Willis-Knighton Pierremont.
