Eva Mae Wheless
Bethel Cemetery, Logansport

Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Mae Wheless of Logansport were held 
Saturday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church in 
Logansport. 

Visitation began at 5 p.m. for family and friends on Friday evening, 
Feb. 18 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport. 

Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery.

Mrs. Wheless was born December 29, 1913 and died at the Mansfield 
Nursing 

Center Thursday afternoon at the age of 91. She was a life-long resident of De Soto Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Jackson "Jack" Wheless; 
parents, Samuel Eugene Register and Irene Billingsley Register; a 
sister, Lillie Irene Register and a brother, Joel Huson "Tight" 
Register. 

She is survived by three sons: Jimmie Wheless and wife, Edna; Jack 
Wheless and wife Drucilla and John Paul Wheless and wife Shirley, all 
of Logansport; 10 grandchildren including Amy Decker and husband, Lee, 
of Jasper, TX; Jason Wheless and wife, Billie Kay; Tim Wheless and 
wife, Susan; Jerry Wheless and wife, Loretta; Lesa Blankenship and 
husband, David; Sam Wheless and Terry Joe Wheless; Leslie Turner and 
husband, Robert and Jim Wheless and wife, Samantha, all of Logansport 
and Laurie McCarty and husband, Jim of Shreveport.

She is survived by 14 great-grandchildren including Jacob Wheless and 
Katie Decker of Jasper; Caleb Wheless, Ashley Wheless, Raina Wheless, 
Kelsey Wheless, Michael Blankenship, Cody Wheless, Hunter Wheless, 
Patricia Turner and Sean Turner, all of Logansport, Amanda Monsour of 
Shreveport and Brittnay Wheless and Brooke Wheless of Converse. 

Honorary pallbearers were James "Sonny" Register, Bobby Joe Register, 
Bret Register and Ernest Register of Logansport.

Pianist and soloist was Dale Blue of Logansport.
