Mittie Lee Burkett

LOGANSPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mittie Lee Burkett, 86, will be 
held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Rose-Neath Chapel, 
Logansport, LA. Officiating will be Stan McGee, assisted by Bill 
Crosby, Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home 
in Logansport, LA. 

Mrs. Burkett passed away March 26, 2005 at Grace Home in Shreveport, LA 
after a lengthy illness. She was born in DeSoto Parish and was a 
lifelong resident of Logansport, LA. She was a Home Maker. 

Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by her husband, Wright Burkett; 
parents: A.L. Strong and Clara Strong; brother, Lester Strong and 
sister, Hazel Boyd. 

She is survived by her children: Jo Settle and husband Glenn of 
Stonewall; Lucille Harvey and husband Johnny of Logansport; Jerry 
Burkett and wife Betty of Longview, TX; grandchildren: Anthony Harvey 
and wife Judy; Michael Harvey and wife Cheryl; Lorie Crews and husband 
Robert; Eddy Settle and wife Laura; Kelly Burkett and Jerry Kaye 
Albritton; great grandchildren: Andy Winham, Johnathan Harvey, Jerred 
Harvey, Trey Harvey and Kaylee Genest; sister, Alma Furlow and many 
family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Anthony Harvey, Michael Harvey, Johnathan Harvey, 
Robert Crews, Eddy Settle and Andy Winham. Honorary pallbearers will be 
Jerred Harvey and Trey Harvey.
