Ephram Sauce, Jr.

St. Anns’ Cemetery, Stonewall

SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral service for Ephram Sauce, Jr. 72, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father David Rickter. Interment will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall, LA. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside on Friday, July 4, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Ephram was born in Shreveport, LA on January 16, 1936 to Ephram and Mary Ferrier Sauce. He passed away at his home on July 2, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a resident of Shreveport and a retired pipe fitter of local union 141. He was also a member for 18 years of iron workers local union 591. Mr. Sauce proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy attaining the rank of Senior Officer during the Korean Conflict and honorably discharged. He was a member of St. Mary of the Pine's Catholic Church and a member of the Fair Park Masonic Lodge.

Ephram was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Doyle and Herbert and his sister, Mary Louise.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son Randy Sauce and his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Gwen Henderson and her husband, Robert; stepchildren, Marvin DeLong, Tina Knight and Richard DeLong; grandchildren, Latasha Kelley and husband, Ted, Christopher Henderson, Kimberly Sauce and Stephen Sauce; step-grandchildren, Alaina Jordan, Christopher, Gabrielle, Ashley and Tiffany Knight, Morgan, Katelynn and Hallee DeLong; great-grandsons, Sean Robert Kelley and Dalton Knight; sister, Sadie Mae Williamson and special cousin, Laura Susie Holt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel 687-1256
