Carlene P. Gremillion

St. Ann’s Cemetery, Stonewall

STONEWALL, LA - A Funeral Mass for Carlene P. Gremillion, 78, will be said at St. Ann's Catholic Church 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008. Officiating will be Monsignor Carson LaCaze. Interment will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall.

The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Southside, Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Gremillion was born April 27, 1929 in Stonewall, LA. She passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in Shreveport. She was a retired steno clerk for the LA State Department of Transportation and Development, LA Department of Highways, and a receptionist at Rose-Neath Southside. Carlene was a parishioner of St. Ann's Catholic Church where she was also in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a former member of the National Secretaries Association, Pelican Chapter, in which she chaired several committees.

Mrs. Gremillion was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Raney Prudhomme; husband, Francis E. Gremillion, Sr.; brothers, M.L. and Raymond Prudhomme; sister-in-law, Estelle S. Prudhomme.

Surviving her to cherish her memory is her son, Francis E. Gremillion, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Sue; grandchildren, Lillian Gremillion, Morgan Gremillion and David Gremillion all of Thibodaux, LA; sisters, Robbie Rhea Coker, of Montgomery, AL, Garland Louise Lewis of Tulsa, OK, Frances Fox of Shreveport, LA, Patsy Carleton of Monroe, GA and one sister-in-law, Ruby F. Prudhomme of Onalaska, TX; a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Klepper, Wade Fox, George Fox, Richard Coker, Jeremy Fox, and Jimmy Garner.

Memorials may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church in Stonewall, LA or Shriners Children's Hospital in Shreveport. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 687-1256.
