Perry Keith Ward

Prude Cemetery, Mansfield

MANSFIELD, LA - Funeral services for Perry Keith Ward, 49, will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Wayne Jones of Freedom Mission Church. Burial will follow in the Prude Cemetery, Mansfield, LA.

Perry was born on December 9, 1958 and passed away on August 10, 2008, peacefully at home.

He leaves behind his mother, Altheaon Burch and husband Jarrell; one son, Carl Ray Ward of Stanley; two daughters Amber Renee' Richards and husband Trent of Arlington, TX and Aubrey Ward of White Settlement, TX; one sister Karen Sue Ward Campbell and husband Wayne of Joaquin, TX; three brothers, Steven Glenn Ward of Stanley, Mark Dwayne Ward and wife Brandy of Logansport, and Nathan Lynn Ward of Stanley; three step-sisters Rhonda Maton and Lynn King of Stanley and Libby Youngblood of Frostproff, FL.

He leaves behind also many friends and relatives; an uncle Kevin Harris and an Aunt Fern Turner who has been a special caregiver for the past two years, and a special lifetime friend James Burch.

Preceding him in death were his father, Keith Dwayne Ward; grandparents Willie B. Ward Coleman and Perry K. Ward and Thelma and Willie Harris.

The wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Leigh Dillard and the Staff at Desoto Regional, the Paramedics and Dr. Laura Kimball-Ravari for her very special care for the past year with his struggle to live with a severe Type I case of Diabetes.

Perry struggled for life from his beginning to his last breath. But During that time he had a lots of love in him. He loved his Lord. He prayed for us as we prayed for him. He loved his family and friends. We all loved him. He went back to the old home place to stay. He said that's what he wanted. Then he went home to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon and we'll all miss him.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Harris, Jess Campbell, Matt Ward, Sam Ward, Chad Canton, James Burch. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Burch and Wayne Campbell. Rose-Neath Mansfield, 318-872-4660
