Gail Smith

Bethany Cemetery, Marthaville, LA

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Gail Smith, 39, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Allen of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, in Marthaville, LA. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gail was born on October 30, 1969 in Shreveport, LA to John F. and Reata Utz. She passed away, into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 15, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a resident of Stonewall, LA and a member of Kingston Baptist Church. She was self-employed as a bookkeeper and accountant.

Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Reata Gail Utz. She is survived by her loving husband, Elton "Bubba" Smith; her father, John Utz, Sr.; grandmother, Agnes Utz; sons, Tyler Smith and Kenton Smith; daughter, Samantha Joanne Smith; brother, Franklin Utz and numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.

Honoring Gail as pallbearers will be Buddy Baker, Bobby Bloxom, Wilson Baker, Kristopher Cooper, Sterling Wells, Kirk Lee, John Eldridge and Richard Procell. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Robinson, Bobby Gathright, Parker Franklin, Donnie Harrell, Chad Franklin and Terry Walton.
