William "Teeny" Woods

Slone Cemetery, DeSoto Parish

MANSFIELD, LA - Funeral services for William "Teeny" Woods, 79, will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 19, 2009 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel, officiating the service will be Reverend Tommy McMellon assisted by Reverend Lynn Mitchell. Burial will follow at the Slone Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, January 18, 2009 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m.

William was born January 14, 1930 in Mansfield, LA to Heflin and Vera Woods and passed away on January 16, 2009.

Preceding William in death was his wife Myrtle Sibley Woods; parents Heflin and Vera Woods; sisters Beatrice Calhoun and Ruby "Tut" Binning; nephew Johnny Calhoun; brothers-in-law C.W. "Shorty" Calhoun, Harold Sexton, Emmett Forrest, and Henry Binning; and his grandparents.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Janet Woods Osterhoudt and fiancé Jammie Rascoe and Sylvia Woods Brown and husband Roy; grandson Cody Brown; a very special granddaughter Amber Osterhoudt and fiancé Boogie; great-grandson Quez Canada; sisters Josephine Forrest and Betty Sexton; brother Bubba Woods; special companions his cats Leroy and Baby and a host of nieces and nephews.
