Mansfield Cemetery



MANSFIELD, LA - Services will be held at Rose-Neath Chapel on Wednesday, 2 PM, December 9, at the Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, LA for Fred Parker, Sr., 83 of Mansfield. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5-8 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield.

Mr. Parker died on Sunday, December 6, in Shreveport. He was born to J.O. and Alma English Parker on July 17, 1926 in Bossier City, LA, the 8th of 12 siblings.

Fred served in the Navy on the USS Anzio during WWII. During a brief leave from duty, he met Lelia Brown, whom he married on March 27, 1948. Parker was a loving husband for 62 years, residing and working in Mansfield, where he and "Miss Pat" owned and operated Parker T.V. Service for 55 years.

Fred is preceded in death by three siblings. He is survived by wife Lelia Parker, two sons - Fred and wife Celeste Parker and Dan and wife Suzette Parker, grandchildren Robert Parker, Ryan Parker, Chad Parker, Kelli Parker, Emily Parker Heinen, and Judd Parker; four great-grandchildren; and one special great-grand-dog, Macy.

Fred loved to golf, hunt, and spend time with family and friends. He was known for his kind and gentle nature. Pallbearers include Dan Parker, Fred Parker, Jr., Robert Parker, Ryan Parker, Judd Parker, Jerry Nash, and Mitch Latham. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, LA 318-872-4660
