Marie Nickey Maddry

Highland Cemetery, Mansfield

MANSFIELD, LA - Joined God's Choir June 2, 2009. Born May 12, 1924, Mansfield, La.; daughter of Isaac Brunner and Bertha Pearce Nickey. As a young married woman, she joined the "sewing club" and forged lifelong friendships. A woman of many talents, she taught Sunday School at Highland Baptist Church for 25 years. She was a gifted seamstress and loved to Needlepoint. But mostly, she loved being Granny to her girls.

After retirement from Real Estate, she moved to Dallas to be near her children and grand daughters. She is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law Bob and Becky Maddry, Daughter and Son-In-Law Patty and Rodger Frederick, five Granddaughters, Jennifer Hawkins, Heather Maddry, Erin Frederick-Hodge, and Colleen Hime., as well as, 8 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at: Highland Cemeteries in Mansfield, La., Friday June 19, 2009 @ 3:00 PM. The cemetery is located at Old Jefferson Hwy, and Louise Street off Hwy 84.
