Samuel Frank Flanders

Highland Cemetery, Mansfield

MANSFIELD, LA - Our precious son, Samuel Frank Flanders, went home to Heaven February 3, 2009. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 5 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1710 MacArthur Drive; Mansfield, Louisiana. Samuel's Celebration of Life service will also be at First Baptist Church on Friday, February 6 at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. William Crosby officiating, assisted by Dr. Chuck Pourciau and Reverend Joe Waggener. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Sam was born August 28, 2008 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Sam was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Cecil and Doris Flanders, Gilbert and Frances Baird, Ray Allen, Bessie Clanton and cousin Bryce Norwood a fellow brave little soul. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Bridget Allen Flanders, his triplet siblings, Cecilia Grace and Benjamin Allen Flanders, grandparents, Alfred and Beverly Flanders, Harvey and Betty Allen, and great-grandmother Elvie Ruth Bufkin all of Mansfield, LA and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Judson Rives, James Rasbery, Donny Durr, and Reverend Gary Gregg. Honorary pallbearers will be the dedicated medical staff of LSUHSC Labor Unit and NICU as well as special buddies Jarius and LeAndre.

The family asks that donations in memory of Sam be made to one of the following organizations that have touched our lives: The American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The American Heart Association, and the children's ministries of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA or First Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA.
