Grand Cane Cemetery

SHREVEPORT, LA - Mr. Hall Staley Morehead, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, after a brief illness. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Ray Boswell of First Baptist Church of Shreveport. Interment will follow at Grand Cane Cemetery.

Mr. Morehead was born in Port Arthur, TX and a resident of Shreveport off and on for 70 years. He was the founder of Morehead Pools in Shreveport and for the past 35 years has been the owner of Paddock Southwest, Inc., a commercial pool building company, which has built numerous pools in Louisiana and Texas.

Mr. Morehead was preceded in death by his father, Seth Marvin Morehead; mother, Staley Rogers Morehead; brother, Seth Marvin Morehead, Jr.; and wife, Katherine Ann Morehead. He is survived by his daughters, Carole Smith of Vero Beach, FL, Lisa Porta and her husband, Michael of Jericho, VT, Susan Anstey and her husband, Jeff of Vero Beach, FL, and Kelly Meot and her husband, Philippe of Kihei, HI; and step-sons, Alexander Tucker of Shreveport, LA and Carling Dinkler of Washington, DC; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan Morehead of Shreveport, LA.
