Location: 

From Alvord, take Meridian Highway (Old Decatur Road) about 4.5 miles, turn south on CR 2391, continue about 1.5 miles to cemetery.

 

Marker:  

Land given by George Buchanan. Hopewell church was located 50 yards east of cemetery. First pastor at that location was W. M. Thompson in 1872. Church later moved to present location in 1887. Reverend J. O. Peyton, Reverend Perry Peyton, Reverend G. T. Leverett, Reverend T. W. Thorp.
