Mrs. M. Davis Funeral Rites Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Mantie Davis, 82 were conducted Monday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock on the Forester Funeral Chapel. Rev. Larry 
Ramsour, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Walter Lee Tackett, minister 
of Church of Christ, officiated. Interment was in Rucker Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis died at her home Saturday night following an extended illness. 
She was a native of this area. Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Baptist 
Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Bolton of Troup, and Mrs. 
Gladys Musslewhite of Tyler; Two sons, Loys Davis of Whitehouse and 
Hayward Davis of Dallas; a sister, mrs. Mary Tipton of Troup; Three 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were C.A. Wilkinson; Bill Dumas, bill Slaughter, A.R. 
Suber, Joe Taylor and Hardy Gunn.
