J.F. WARD, AGE 85, DIED NEAR HERE

Funeral services for J.F. Ward, 85 years old, were conducted at the First 
Methodist Church of Troup Friday afternoon by pastor, Rev. C.L. Williams. 
Burial under auspices of Dixie Masonic Lodge of Troup, was made in the 
Bradford Cemetery at Troup.

Surviving, besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Grover Rucker of Troup 
and Mrs. Fannie Norman of Wills Point; and three sons, Fred Ward of Houston, 
Tom Ward of Palestine and Dave Ward of Gallatin.

Mr. Ward died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Grover Rucker at 
Troup, where he and Mrs. Ward had made their home for many years. He moved 
near Troup several years ago from Dialville, in Cherokee County, and formerly 
lived at Henrys Chapel. He had many friends in this section
