Troup Banner, Troup TX: July 7, 1927 MRS. KITTIE SALMON DIED IN WEST TROUP Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 30, by Rev. I.E. Tackett for Mrs. Kittie Salmon who died June 29, at the family home in West Troup. Mrs. Salmon was 70 years old and had made her home at Troup all her lifetime. She had a large number of friends at Troup and Throughout Smith County. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Troup, having united with the church a great many years ago. She is survived by her husband, affectionately know here as Uncle Billy Salmon; and two sons, Carl Salmon and W.B. salmon, all of Troup. She was the mother of the late Woodie Salmon and a sister of G.E. Smith who died at Troup last year. Burial was made Thursday afternoon at the Bradford Cemetery at Troup, in the presence of many friends and relatives.
