Troup Banner, Troup TX; December 5, 1929 ROBERT RUCKER DIES AT HOME OF PARENTS Robert Rucker, 15 years old, died Wednesday at 12:50 a.m. at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Rucker, in Troup, after an illness of two weeks, believed due to malarial typhoid. He was a student in the tenth grade of Troup High School and a member of the school football team, a popular youth among his school companions and other friends in Troup. Funeral services Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock were conducted at the First Methodist Church at Troup by the pastor, The Rev. J.D.F. Houck, with interment in Rucker Cemetery. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Donald and Glen Rucker, both of Troup; his grandmother, Mrs. M.E. Ward, and many other relatives living in and near Troup.
