It is on private property.
It is not “abandoned”, though it kind of appears to be. It is fenced and has had a burial there as recently as 1998.
In my notes, FHM stands for “funeral home marker”; s/w for “shared with” as in a shared marker. These notes are simply my notes about the marker unless it appears in quotation marks, which in that case means I recorded something from the marker.
This is an African-American cemetery. Concerning the name, Turner Cemetery: the name is not posted anywhere at the cemetery. I was given the name by a local person. Then I called Southern Funeral Home and asked for the information on where Henry Hatchett was buried (he was the one I was studying at the time). They had his interment listed as Turner Cemetery.
