(I don't know when Otis Gossett bought the land but it was apparently owned at one time by this family. It is located next to land formerly owned by T. M. Webb and currently owned by the Whitten family of Laneville. Mr. Whitten is dead but his wife and sons are living in Laneville. The cemetery is located about 10 miles South of Henderson. Turn right on a dirt road about 1/4 mile before you get to the Neeley Cemetery and go as far as you can on that road which is not in very good shape but can be traveled easily in a truck when not wet.At the top of the hill turn right and cross a fence and it is located in a clump of trees right across the fence on top of the hill. I wish we could find out more about this family. )  comments and directions by Jan Day, grdningranny@yahoo.com

This lone grave is located off FM 839 on the right, just past the old Jink Hudson homeplace that used to be the old Tom Webb place. It is now (1994) owned by M. Kenneth Whitten. Copied by Don Whitehead, the inscription reads:

Erected by the Woodmen of the World DUM TACET CLAMET

GASTON, J.E. Born Oct 7, 1877 – Died Nov 19, 1905

He has gone from his dear ones

His children, His wife,

Whom he willingly toiled for

And loved as his life

Oh God, how mysterious and how

Strange are thy ways

To take from us this loved one

In the best of his days
