Funeral services for Betty Lou Franklin Jones, 63, of Alba were held at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel in Alba on Thursday, May 20, with Bro. Joe Strebeck and Bro. Earl Kernes officiating. Burial followed in Turner Cemetery in Emory. Pallbearers were Charles Garrett, Jim Wren, Joe Ben Cason, John Frogge, James Chreene, Jackie King, John Smith, and James Lemonds. Mrs. Jones died Monday evening, May 17, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. She was born July 6, 1940, in Emory. She had lived in Alba since 1995. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Sam Jones of Alba; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Tina Ramsey of Fort Worth and Terry and Delores of Victoria; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Pat Jones of Sachse; three daughters and sons-in-law, LaDonna and Johnny Gleghorn and Sharon and Tony Rainwater, all of Seymour, and Mona and Chuck Gibbs, of Olney; one brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Terry Geraldon of Dallas; one sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Bob Ashcraft of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Earnest and Fannie Opal Strebeck Geraldon; and husband, Johnnie Franklin in July of 2001.
