Tucker of Quitman officiating, and assisted by the pastor, Rev. David Griffin. Pallbearers: Homer McCallon, George Clements, Sam Amis, Ed Fletcher, Frank Alexander and Browning Nix. Burial will be in the City Cemetery. Mrs. Clendenin was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Settle, early citizens of Emory, who operated a hotel here at the turn of the century. Their only child, a son, Bailey Clendenin, also preceded her in death a number of years ago.
