Morales, Jackson County, Cemeteries of TX

The Moore Family Cemetery is located on the old Moore Family farm that entered the family with William Matthew Moore and his wife Elizabeth Tryphene (Laughter) Moore.- The earliest internment is William Matthew’s father Christopher Columbus Moore. - My grandfather, William Willard Moore, Sr., inherited the land from his father William Matthew.- He erected the Moore marker (two sides, A & B) which replaced the original headstones.- The old headstones were placed beneath a tree in the cemetery. - There is a cemetery in Jackson County listed as the Partridge Cemetery.- There are Partridge’s buried in the Moore Family Cemetery but their internment was after Christopher Columbus Moore was interned and possibly the cemeteries are considered to be the same cemetery. 

Directions: North on SR-111 from Edna about 13 miles- East on Old Morales Road (CR-2831) to "T"- South on Gandy Bend Road (CR-283) about 100 yards, on left.
