James Woodberry

James C. Woodberry of Fort Worth died Sunday. Funeral services are at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wolfe City at 2 p.m. today with Rev. Wayne Aimes officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City.

He was born Feb. 3, 1941 in Harleton to Henry and LeeAnna Woodberry.

Surviving are wife, Martha Jean Brown; a daughter, Sherry Godfrey of Arlington; two sons, Jason and Aaron Godfrey, both of Arlington; three sisters, Essie B. Fields, Odessa Armstrong and Lillie Woodberry, all of Wolfe City; two brothers, Luther Woodberry of Wolfe City and Willie Woodberry of Fort Worth.

Mr. Woodberry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, James Wright, Wayne Woodberry, Clarence Fields, Marvin Woodberry, Dwayne Hashaway and Freddie Woodberry. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be R.C. Lewis, James Pannell, R.C. Woods, Bobby Armstrong, Jimmy Gaffney, Leah Tarpley, John Brown and Don Wortham.

Grundy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
