WOLFE CITY - Mary L. West, 84, of Wolfe City died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Wolf City at 2:30 p.m. Monday with Rev. Lewis Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

She was born to Daniel and Emma Lou Leggett on July 23, 1915, in Blossom. She married Felton J. West on Sept. 30, 1933, in Wolfe City.

Mrs. West was a housewife and member of the Honey Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter Patricia Powell of Wolfe City; son and daughter-in-law Billy Dan and Rhonda West of Wolfe City; sisters Clara Wasson of Longview and Opal Hampton of Wolfe City; grandchildren Amy Andrews of Wolfe City, Ginger Bostic of Wolfe City, Tim London of Wolfe City and Ricky London of Garland; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 28, 1989, a son, two brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Thornton, Joel Thornton, Troy Eubanks, Vernon Bryant, Dale Gaskill, Joe Charles Henslee, Allen Thomason and Kenneth Causey. B.W. Clayton, E.M. Howard, Gene Bryant and Bobby Armstrong will be honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City.
