Miss Aline Walker

WOLFE CITY - Margaret Aline Walker, 101, of Wolfe City died Saturday night at Smith Nursing Home. Graveside services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Carmel Cemetery with Rev. Eldon Chester officiating.

Miss Walker was born Feb. 11, 1897, in Wolfe City; the daughter of Franklin Rhea and Martha Jane Cozby Walker. She was a graduate of Wolfe City High School, She received a masters degree from East Texas State University and did graduate work at Southern Methodist University.

Miss Walker began her teaching career at Wolfe City Elementary School and later became principal. She left Wolfe City school system to accept a teaching position in the Dallas Independent School District. She retired from Crozier Tech High School; having taught there several years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wolfe City.

Surviving are a nephew, W.R. "Bill" Malone of Dallas and several cousins.
