WOLFE CITY - Funeral services for Dorothy Ophelia Payne, 82, of Denton are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City with Dwight Gardner officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery. She died Monday at Kerns Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Point.

The daughter of James and Nancy Katherine Blassingame White, she was born July 22, 1916 in Brownwood. She married Joseph Frank Payne in August 1930.

She was a housewife and she was a member of the Church of Christ in Wolfe City.

Surviving are a son, Joe Frank Payne Jr. of Irving; a daughter, Dorothy Laverne Frazier of Aubrey; a sister, Adren Conway of Cedar Creek; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to10 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
