Jewel Meech

WOLFE CITY - Funeral services for Jewel Fay Meech, 79, are set for 3 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church here. Rev. Jim Pledger will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. She died Tuesday at a Commerce hospital.

She was born in the Kaiser Community to Jim R. and Nina Kaiser Moore on Feb. 22, 1901. She married William Meech, who preceded her in death. A retired schoolteacher, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Collins of Grenada Hills, Calif.; five nephews, H. D. Stidham, Richard Harrell, Norris Harrell and Leon Denney, all of Wolfe City, Woodrow Harrell of Rockwall and Louis Branden of Holdenville, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers are M. W.McWhirter, W. R. Hampton, J. F. Whittemore, J. T. Woodruff, E. M. Howard and B. W. Clayton.

Owens Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
