James Franks

Wolfe City-Graveside services for James Donald Franks of Dallas are at 2:30 p.m. today at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

He died Monday at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas after a lenghty illness.

Mr. Franks was born in Leonard on Jan. 21, 1934, the son of J.W. and Ethel G. Thornton Franks. On June 23, 1956 he married Shirley White in Durant, Okla. He was a brick mason and a member of the Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Franks of ockwall; daughter, Vicki Primrose of Mesquite; six grandchildre, Justin and Jennifer Primrose, Dane Primrose, Melissa Franks, Andrea Franks, and John Paul Tijerina; one brother, Joe Franks of Dallas; two sisters, Edith Ramo of Sulphur, Okla. and Eva Bennett of Kaufman and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at R.W. & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City.
