Katharyne Felty

WOLFE CITY - Katharyne McCarroll Felty, 86 of Richardson, died Wednesday at the Gardens of Richardson Nursing Center following a long illness. There is a graveside service today at 2 p.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Rev. Kevin Mitchell officiating.

Born Aug. 13, 1913, in Wolfe City, she was the daughter of E.E. and Dottye Warren McCarroll. She married Ray Felty on Dec. 21, 1936 in Dallas.

Mrs. Felty was a school teacher, retiring after 41 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Paducah.

Surviving are god-daughters Dorotha Sandefur and Ann Long and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1997.
