Walter Crowell

WOLFE CITY - Walter W. Crowell, 82, of Greenville died suddenly Wednesday. There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. today at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.

Born Dec. 31, 1916 in Wolfe City, he was the son of Harvey W. and Mary Bell Jackson Crowell. On Dec. 11, 1942 he married Cleo Kelley in Wolfe City. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Crowell retired from E-Systems. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Greenville.

Surviving are a son, Travis J. Crowell of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Clifford Ray Crowell of Louisiana and Howard H. Crowell of Wolfe City; a granddaughter and husband, Teresa and Nathan Pate of Jacksonville and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one son.
