WOLFE CITY — Margie Burns went home June 5, 2006, to be with her parents, four brothers and two sisters in heaven. Margie was born March 8, 1926, in Merkel, daughter of Charlie Lewis and Josie Hassey Burns. She worked with Home Health Care and was a member of Kingston Baptist Church. She was a loving daughter, sister and above all, mother to Dee, and will be missed by everyone.  Survivors are a daughter, Dee Burns of Celeste; one grandbaby, Skeeter; special niece and nephew Paul Ray Sanders and Tammy Sanders Kemp; two sisters, Doris Fouse of Rockwall and Rosemary Martin of Wolfe City; numerous nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Blunt, J.R. Sanders, Coy Martin, Garland Smith, Paul Ray Sanders and Jeff Martin.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel in Wolfe City with Rev. Jim Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Celeste Cemetery in Celeste.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Britney Loren’ Lipsey, 20, of Celeste, formerly of Gladewater, died Aug. 6, 2006, in an auto accident on Interstate 30. Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Celeste High School gymnasium under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville. Dr. James Ralson will officiate. Burial will be in Celeste Cemetery.  Miss Lipsey was born Jan. 19, 1986, in Longview to Mike Lipsey and Jessica Walston Morrow. She graduated from Celeste High School in 2004.  Britney was the head lifeguard at the Ja-Lu Park in Greenville, she gave swimming lessons at the Rec Center in Commerce, she was a waitress at Molina’s in Commerce, and was a student at Texas A&M University-Commerce and was on the Dean’s List.  Her accomplishments included Miss CHS, Sophomore Class Favorite, Senior Football Sweetheart, FCA, FCCLA, and academic awards-accounting and geography.  She played basketball for four years and was senior captain and received junior and senior honorary mention and Defensive MVP, she ran track her sophomore and junior years and was regional qualifier both years, she played golf all through high school and was a regional qualifier her sophomore, junior and senior years and was state qualifier her junior year, golf MVP her senior year and Most Improved Player her junior year.  She was a cheerleader her junior and senior years and was on the dance team her sophomore year. Britney was a donor to save others lives.  She is survived by her father and wife, Mike and Carol Lipsey of Celeste; her mother and husband, Jessica and Johnny Morrow of Celeste; brothers Brody Lipsey and Braden Morrow of Celeste and Todd Eudy of Forney; a sister, Tina McDaniel of Forney; grandparents John and Allene Mize of Celeste and Jimmy and Jean Lipsey and Doris Walston, all of Greenville.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest Lorenzo Walston, Johnny Morrow, and Patricia House; great-grandparents Haskell and Pansey Biggs and Crim and Maurice Adams; a stepgrandmother, Oleta Lipsey; and an uncle, Tony Walston.  Pallbearers are John Mark Barnard, Josh Spoonemore, Joseph Louvier, Jonny Louvier, Rache Barnette, Lance Clayton, Shey Stegall, Neil McElaney. Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Pi-Kappa-Alpha Fraternity.  Memorials may be made to the Britney Lipsey Scholarship Fund at the First Bank of Celeste, Attention Bob Barnard, P.O. Box 7, Celeste, 75422. 
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Celeste High School gymnasium.

Donald Wayne Julian, 48, of Greenville died Aug. 10, 2006 at his home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at Celeste Cemetery.  Born May 14, 1958 in Dallas, he was the son of Leo Glen and Joyce Furlong Julian. He served in the United States Army and was an electrician. He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church.  He was proceeded in death by his parents.  He is survived by two children, his son and wife Jessie and Ashley Julian Nowell of Quinlan and daughter and husband Misty and Fred Massey of Mesquite; brother and sister-in-law Glen and Jackie Julian of Waxahchie; grandmother Edith Julian of Commerce; seven grandchildren, Madison Massey, Ethan Massey, Mitchell Massey, Freddie Massey, Kaylee Julian Nowell, Trent Julian Lowell and Aaron McCollough; and several nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers are Clint Julian, Raul Reyes, Jr., Mitch Lair, Mitchell Lair, Ronny Barrett, Zachary Rainey, Mike McGaha, Willy Busby and Tommy Little.

Funeral services for Haskell “Hack” Henslee, 83, of Celeste, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Celeste Church of Christ with Rick Henslee and A.C. Quinn officiating. Burial is in the Celeste Cemetery. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard.  He died Oct. 2, 2006, at his residence.  He was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Wagner, son of E.R. and Nellie Newby Henslee. He married Marjean McGahee on March 28, 1942, in Durant, Okla.   He was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Kingston Church of Christ.  He is survived by his wife of Celeste; two sons, Rick Henslee of Greenville and Mike Henslee of Celeste; a daughter, Debbie Compton of Celeste; sister Audrey Compton of Allen; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

LEONARD — Graveside services for Lela Mozelle Burnett, 89, of Celeste are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Celeste Cemetery with Thomas A. Willess officiating. She died Nov. 19, 2006, at Greencrest Manor in Greenville.  The daughter of Joseph Edgar and Ethel Beatrice Wyatt Wade, she was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Yantis. On Feb. 5, 1939, she was married to Newell Atkinson Burnett.   Mrs. Burnett was a member of First Baptist Church of Celeste and was a seamstress for Shirey’s Children’s Factory.  She is survived by her daughters, Patricia McCorstin of Garland and Linda Causey, Brenda Chennault and Glenda Burnett, all of Celeste; a sister, Mary Alene Gibson of Celeste; six grandchildren, Lynn, Lisa, Lori, Amanda, Charisse and Joshua; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Tristan Paul.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard.
