Robert Lewis Boyd, 46, of Quinlan, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2006,
in Dallas. Mr. Boyd was born in Pasadena, Texas, to Bill and Barbara
Boyd. He earned his bachelor’s degree in social work from Texas A&M
University-Commerce in 1995. He was a caseworker for Boles Children’s Home
and served on the Boles Independent School District Board. Survivors are
his wife, Alecia Boyd of Quinlan; son, Britton Boyd of Commerce; brother,
Bill Calvin Boyd Jr. of Conroe; sisters, Paula Hartman and husband Elwood
of Sachse, Karen Allen and husband Ronny of Lovelady; nephews, Isaac,
Franklin, David, Travis and Thomas and nieces, Jasmine and Bridgette. He
was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service is scheduled for
11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Union Valley Church of Christ with Alan
Sowders officiating. Interment will follow at Boles Cemetery. Visitation
will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Funeral Home.
