This  book  is  a  work  in  progress.  I have  made a computer  data  base,  so  that  corrections  and  additions can be made.

The  burial  sites  listed  in  the  first  section  is  the  best  directions  that  I could  find.   These  were  submitted  by  Miss  Eliza  Bishop  and  Mrs.  Letty Harrington.   The  list  was  also checked  by  one  of  the  Funeral  Directors in  Crockett.   If  you  find  errors,  please  submit  the  corrections  to  Roy  C.  Smith  %  Houston  County  Historical  Commission,  401  E. Goliad,  Crockett,  Texas  75835  or  call  the  office  at  936-544-3255   ext  238.  You  may   also  call  or  write  me  at  home  260  E.  Houston  St.,  Lovelady,  Texas  75851,  936-636-9374.   I  would  like  this  work  to  be  as  accurate  as  humanly  possible.

The  last  section  is  a  military  list.  I know  we  do  not  have  everyone  with  military service  listed,  but  this  is  all  we  have.  Please  submit   additions  to  this  list,  so  that  all  the  Heroes  in  Houston  County  can  be  named.   Roy  C.  Smith
