Otha Proctor (Sulphur Springs News Telegram, Friday, July 31, 1987)

Services for Otha D. Proctor, 85, of Brashear are set for 4 p.m. Monday in the Tapp Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be in the Brashear Cemetery with the Rev. L.B. Morgan officiating.

Mr. Proctor died at 11:35 p.m. Friday in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 15, 1902, in Hopkins County, the son of Richard and Dora Vick Proctor.

He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist church.

He married Verna Mae McQueen May 6, 1922, in Hopkins County. She survives.

He is also survived by one son, Richard Proctor of Garland; one daughter, Dorothy Watson of Brashear; one sister, Ruby Dickens of Miller Grove; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was peceded in death by two children, Buddy Proctor and Ina Jean Moore; one sister; two brothers; and two grandsons.
