Mrs. Johnson of Miller Grove Passes Monday (Sulphur Springs News Telegram, May 19, 1958)

Mrs. Lola M. Johnson, 84, a lifetime resident of Miller Grove, died unexpectedly at 7:30 p. m. Monday at the family residence.

The Rev. Robert Ridley of Dallas will be assisted by the Rev. P.G. Hightower of Quitman in funeral services at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Miller Grove Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Miller Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She married Walter Johnson in Miller Grove in 1894.

Survivors are three sons, Perry, Walter and Don Johnson, all of Miller Grove, a daughter, Mrs. Virgie Burns of Miller Grove, nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be composed of grandsons. They include Jim Burns, Keith Burns, Freeman Johnson, Pat Johnson, Coy Johnson and Lynn Johnson.

The remains will lie in state at the family residence until time for services.
