Don Johnson (Sulphur Springs News Telegram, August 6, 1995)

Funeral services for Don Johnson, 92, of Miller Grove, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 6, in the Miller Grove Methodist Church.

Dave Spurrier, Craig Johnson, Todd Johnson, Jim Burns, Keith Burns and Smith Gilley will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 5.

Mr. Johnson was born on April 29, 1903, the son of Walter Franklin and Lola Paschall Johnson. He married Edna Smith in 1927. She preceded him in death in 1975. He later married Lou Kerr who died in 1990.

Mr. Johnson lived his entire life in Miller Grove, with the exception of his late years in a nursing home in Sulphur Springs. He was active in the life of the community and was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

He is survived by one son, Coy Johnson of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Patsy Hallman of Nacogdoches and Lynn Johnson of Denton; grandchildren Bethany and Dave Spurrier and Craig, Clay Chad, Kelli and Todd Johnson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and Walter, and one sister, Virgie Burns.
