Funeral services for Lera Ferguson, 86, of Miller Grove will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, in Miller Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Brummett and the Rev. William Potts officiating.

Burial will follow in Miller Grove Cemetery with Larry McElvy, Eddie McElvy, Michael Ray Anthony, Ronny Darrow, Johnny Darrow and Brett Darrow serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Tapp Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ferguson died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, October 6, at her residence.

She was born March 18, 1910, in Miller Grove, the daughter of Dee and Willie Johnson Darrow. She married Clyde C. Ferguson on July 13, 1929, in Hugo, Oklahoma. He survives.

Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker and retired from Cannon Craft. She was a member of Miller Grove United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert O. Ferguson of Arlington and Johnny Ferguson of Miller Grove; four daughters, Vallie McElvy of Cumby, Mary Lou Akins of Miller Grove, Ruby Dene Long of Fort Worth, and Bonnie Callan of Mesquite; a brother, Boyd Darrow of Greenview; one sister, Lorene Waskom of Miller Grove; nine grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by nine siblings.
