Lee R. Darrow Succumbs Here (Greenville Herald Banner, September 19, 1960, pg. 2)

Lee R. Darrow, 79, native of Sulphur Springs, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday in a Greenville Rest home following a four month illness.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Miller Grove Methodist Church. The Rev. Ray of Cumby conducted the services and burial was made in the Miller Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wade Darrow, Boyd Darrow, Ralph Waskom, Johnny Ferguson and J.C. Fry.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Gray Sorrells and Sons Funeral Home.

A retired farmer, Mr. Darrow spent his early life in Sulphur Springs and Miller Grove, but had made his home in and near Greenville for many years. He was born April 1, 1880 and was the son of Christopher C. Darrow and Mary Ann White Darrow. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Lila Logan of Dallas; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
