SHRIMP'S FIELD CEMETERY

Located just right of Old Frost Town, Houston,Texas was the area known as Shrimp's Field.
Shrimp's Field was on about forty acres of land and was owned by Charles Shrimp. Mr. Shrimp was one of the wealthiest men in Frost Town. Since this was were they lived, Shrimp's Field was used as their private burial place but only Mrs. Shrimp and her brother are buried there.

In 1990, we were digging a bottledump (1880's) in
what was Shrimp's Field, the children who lived there said something about a graveyard or gravestones but find no other information on it. Could not locate it....
