Cemeteries of TX Coordinator: Dolores I. Bishop

This cemetery has been recorded as the Hollingsworth Cemetery, but it was actually the Old Ellsworth Community Cemetery. The Hollongsworth family did not arrive there till after it was long in use. Originally it had many wooden markers. Guesses of up to 100 graves.

The cemetery is located near the intersection of Hwy. 91 and 691, about one block west on the north side of the road between Sherman and Denison on the Grayson County Airport Rd. (691). Located on the grounds of a commercial nursery that has graciously fenced it. The Ellsworth School stood nearby.
