Daniel, Helen Ruth
Funeral services for Helen Ruth Daniel, age 80 of Bailey, were held Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bailey, Tex., with Rev. Eddie Frazier and Rev. Brian Hawkins officiating. Burial was at the Grove Hill Cemetery near Leonard. She died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 at her residence.
She was born Feb. 28, 1927 in Randolph, Tex., the daughter of Chester A. Arthur Vinson and Nannie Ella Johns Vinson. She married Joe Clifford Daniel on Feb. 27, 1946 in the Savage Community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bailey. Helen was a homemaker and she found joy in many things, including taking care of her beautiful flowers, listening to music, watching birds and sunsets at her home and traveling. She loved to be surrounded by children and their energy and laughter could always bring her a smile.
Bravely facing various ailments over the past four decades, Helen was a pillar for the family and the model of grace in many challenging situations. No matter what her condition, she always had a vibrant, positive outlook on life and was a great source of strength for all of those around her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Virgie Mahan, Theodore Vinson, Thelma Cotham, James Vinson and Franklin Vinson.
Helen is survived by her husband, Joe Clifford Daniel of Bailey; son and daughter-in-law, Chester Earl and Vicki Daniel of Bonham; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Jo and Glenn Edwards of Wolfe City and Lou Ellen and Teddy Thompson of Leonard; grandchildren, Christa, Amberly, Diana, Clifton, Danny and Abby; great-grandchildren, Nikki, Luke, Holten, Maggie, Hunter, Carrie and Hannah.

Robinson, Jewel Dean
Funeral services for Jewel Dean Robinson, age 95 of Leonard, were held Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Leonard Church of Christ with Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial was in the Grove Hill Cemetery near Leonard. She died Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Leonard Manor Nursing Home.
She was born December 9, 1912 in Mt. Pleasant, Tex., the daughter of David Blackshear and Laura D. Patterson Blackshear. She married Guy Thomas Robinson in January of 1929. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Gilliam of Celeste; sons, Barney Robinson of Ft. Worth and Boyd Robinson of Leonard; brother, O.H. Blackshear of Mena, Ark.; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Wren, Ronnie Dewayne
August 23, 2007 - Funeral services for Ronnie Dewayne Wren, age 61 of Leonard, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at the First Baptist Church in Leonard with Rev. Chris Cowen and Rev. Casey Ingold officiating. Burial was in the Grove Hill Cemetery near Leonard. He died Wednesday in Bonham. Family visitation was held Friday, Aug. 17 from 7 to 9 p.m.
He was born Feb. 13, 1946 in Lamesa, Tex., the son of Calvin Jester Wren and Silva Valentine Harris Wren. He married Patti Sue Cobb on Dec. 18, 1965, in Odessa, Tex. He was a Baptist and was self employed in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Wren of Leonard; daughter, Leslie Wren of Allen; sons, Brett Wren of Bonham and Casey Wren of Leonard; brother, Winston Wren of Antlers, Okla.; sister, Verna Pittman of Lovington, N.M.; grandchildren, Tiffany, Bruce and Colten Wren.
