This cemetery is somewhat of a mystery but perhaps of interest to researchers.

The land was being improved by the Morgan family who were waiting for their land grant at which time Peter Morgan, the father, was killed. That was 1842. A few years later the James Benson family received the land patent and when they moved on the property there were at least 3 wooden Bois d’Arc stobs marking graves. They did not know who was buried there but the old timers pointed out that it was the Morgan family there. The location was near the Sash Community & south of the Bois d’Arc creek. That would be near Hwy 100 south of the creek and east of the present Caddo National Grassland & Lake Crockett. A survey report and the land transactions would solve the location.
