Cox, William Preston
Wm. Preston Cox former high school teacher in Dallas at Justin F. Kimball, Carter and W.T. White, Preston passed away Monday, June 2, 2008, after fighting a valiant fight against lung cancer for several months. 
He will be missed by his loving family, Jeanne, his wife of 47 years; daughter, Tandy Colburn and husband, Ryan; sons, Noel Cox and wife, Jennifer and Casey Cox and Lisa Johnston; and five grandchildren, Wiley and Zane Cox, Ronan, Megan and Preston Colburn.  He is also survived by his sisters, Louise Griffin and Marveta Gilliam.
Born December 7, 1935 in Montague, Texas, to Marvin and Berta Cox, he attended school in Montague and Nocona, Texas.  Preston served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and had a Masters Degree from the University of North Texas.
He took great pleasure in teaching his students history and government and stirring interest in his students for world affairs and politics. 
Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2:00 p.m. at Slay Funeral Home in Aubrey, TX, with burial at Belew Cemetery on Hwy. 377 between Aubrey and Pilot Point.  He will be taken to the gravesite by his sons in a horse-drawn wagon at his request.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mohon, Dorothy Judkins
Dorothy Mohon, born September 29, 1923 in Krum, Texas to Wiley Gray and Mary Catherine Cole Judkins. The heart of our family passed into God’s arms on Monday, June 2, 2008, her spirit rejoining her parents, her husband, H.H. (Bud) Mohon and ten brothers and sisters. 
Her gentle touch, strength of character, intelligent spirit and playful sense of humor will be missed by her four children, Donna Killian of Carrollton, TX; Judy Flowers and husband, David of Denton, TX; Sharon Craft and husband, Billy of Fort Worth, TX and David Kirby and wife, Linda of Marietta, OK; stepson, Charles Looper and wife, Joanne of Aubrey, TX; stepdaughter, Faye Bailey and husband, Don of Aubrey, TX; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty –seven great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Dorothy was a lifetime resident of Denton County. She retired from Russell-Newman, Inc. in 1987. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Dorothy has an extended group of loving family members and friends with whom she often shared her shy little chuckle and smile. She loved her family dearly, gardening, and fishing. Those of us left behind are given comfort in knowing that Dorothy has gone home to be with her loved ones that she remembered so often.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2008, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Slay Memorial Funeral Center, Aubrey, TX.  A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2008 at Slay Memorial Funeral Center with Rev. Kenneth Wells and Rev. Luther Slay officiating with interment to follow at Belew Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Absolutely Angels Home Health, Bluebonnet Hospice Care, Dr. Mukesh Saraiya and Dr. Ramon Cruz for their wonderful care.

Neace, Gloria Jean
Gloria Jean Neace, age 61, of Denton, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born February 13, 1947 in Sanger, Texas to Benjamin Franklin Owens, Jr. and Gracie Faye Owens Nix. She was a member of the Full Gospel Family Worship Center and worked as a Child Nutritionist for Denton I.S.D. before retirement.
She married Wilbern Glen Neace, Sr. on September 15, 1967 in Denton, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Glen of Denton; son, Wilbern Glen Neace, Jr. and wife, Terri Lynn of Ponder; daughter, Ronda LaJeane John and husband, Brent Ray; stepdaughter, Lena Grace Walker and husband, Darin of Denton; mother, Gracie Faye Owens Nix of Denton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father; and sister, Carol Sue Estes.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Full Gospel Family Worship Center 209 Mockingbird Lane, Denton, TX. 76201. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery, Aubrey, Texas. The Rev. Jack Howard and Rev. Stephen Repstraw will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 - 8 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home 705 N. Locust St.
