These lists from old Klondike and Union cemeteries, both in Delta Co., Texas, were copied many years ago by Jim Ray of Klondike, Delta Co., Texas. He shared them with me in the early 1980's. We did a lot of letter writing during that time as we worked on some of the same lines of genealogy. I don't know if he is still living but want him to have credit for his work.

I might add that I visited the Old Union Cemetery in the 1980's and it was so grown up that I doubt it had been used since the 1940's. I don't think it could be located unless some old timer knew the location and took you there.

The dirt and weeds covered most of the stones. I hope it has been cleared since my visit. It would be a major undertaking to find the graves and clean them. There were some tall stones visible through the weeds and brush I was too afraid of snakes to wonder out in it. It was in May and I suspect they were out

(0.75 mi. S) This graveyard served the farm and ranch communities of Gough, Yowell, and Antioch. The earliest recorded burial is that of W. H. Henderson in 1859. The cemetery contains more than 90 marked graves mostly arranged in family plots. Buried here are many of the area's earliest settlers and their descendants and at least three veterans of the Civil War: T. J. Hollon, Hiram G. Wynn, and T. J. Craig. The last recorded burial was that of Georgia Missouri Hollon in 1946. A cemetery association was established in 1947 to maintain and improve the grounds.
