Clark, Miriam I.
    Miriam I. Clark, 73, was born March 24, 1935, and passed away April 9, 2008. 
    Survived by her three sons, Daryl Clark and wife, Terrie of Garland, Billy 
    Clark of Plano and Philip Clark of Plano; daughters, Sharon Harris and 
    husband, David of Scottsdale, Ark., Irene Hamilton of Quinlan, Deborah 
    Duvall and husband, Barry of Loveland, Colo., Karen Sherman and husband, 
    John of Allen; grandchildren, Jeremy, Starla, Ryan, Jennifer, Gabriel, 
    Calvin Ray Edward, Nicole, and Heather Pallotto and husband Stewart; 
    great-grandchildren, Haylee and Kandyce. 
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Clark and parents, Philip and 
    Sarah Parrish. 
    The Funeral Service was held Sunday, April 13, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. in 
    Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Garland Memorial Park,

Howard, Richard
  
 
  Richard Howard, 64, of Garland, Texas, was born April 4, 1944, in Des Moines, 
  Iowa, and passed away Friday, April 11, 2008, at his residence. Rick was a 
  dedicated man who served on the Garland School Board, Garland City Council and 
  was a member of First Baptist Church of Garland. 
  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol Howard of Garland; daughter, Amy 
  Muller of Plano; son, Ben Howard and wife, Kim of Garland; daughter, Jane 
  Howard of Garland; father, Earl "Jack" Howard of Garland; grandchildren, 
  Meagan, Myles, Maggie, Caroline, Kate and Harper; sisters-in-law Peggy and 
  Penn Wootten of Mt. Pleasant, Mary and Jerry Irons of Dallas, and four 
  nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Howard. 
  Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2008, at First Baptist Church, 
  801 W. Ave. D, Garland, Texas, with Rev. Jim Witt, Rev. Ken Ashlock and Rev. 
  Gregg Ammons officiating. 
  Interment followed in Garland Memorial Park. The family received friends 
  Sunday, April 13, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to the Garland Police Boxing Gym, 101 North Ninth
