Atlanta, Texas-- Leamon Conkleton, 69,of New Boston, died Wednesday, January 31,2001, in a local hospital.
Mr. Conkleton was born October 3,1931, in New Boston. He was an auto mechanic and a member of Arkadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Erma Jean Yarber Conkleton of New Boston; two sons, James Yarbrough of Lawton, Okla. and Harry Conkleton of New Boston; one daughter, Ellen Kathy Sanders of Denton, Texas; three sisters, Mary C. Walker, Lillie Henderson and Hazel Conkleton of New Boston; three brothers, Johnny Conkleton, Joe Lee Conkleton and Richard Conkleton of New Boston; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Arkadelphia Baptist Church, New Boston, with the Rev. Billy E. Ford officiating. Burial will be in Arkadelphia Cemetery, under direction of Atlanta Funeral Home. Viewing will be 10-11 a.m. today at the church.
