Layer Cemetery

Layer Cemetery is located south of San Antonio, TX. Take Hwy. 16 south from San Antonio to Farm Road 476 (about 20 miles from Loop 410). Turn right on Farm Road 476 and go about 3.3 miles to Farm Road 1333. Turn left on Farm Road 1333 and go about 3.3 miles. The Layer Cemetery is on the left side of the road adjoining the Simmons Cemetery fenced with cyclone fencing.  These are small private cemeteries.  Within the Layer Cemetery is a monument twelve feet tall with a statue of Christ on the top. The monument is inscribed with "LAYER' at the bottom. In between the foot of the statue and the Layer name "The Lord's Prayer" is inscribed.
